Vale de Parra Holidays

Vale de Parra Holidays – Village life among the vineyards and only ten minutes from the beach

When Cliff Richard first went to the Algarve more than forty years ago he fell in love with the area, so much so that he eventually planted a vineyard in Guia. You may not be able to go as far as owning your own vineyard, but you can sample Sir Cliff’s wines on your holiday to Vale de Parra.

The village is set in an area of peaceful farmland full of vineyards and citrus trees that gives the locality its name, Vale de Parra, quite literally, the Valley of Grapevines. Essentially this is a holiday to enjoy rustic charm, but you are still only minutes away from everything you could want for a fabulous holiday.

If you visit Sir Cliff’s vineyard you must stop at Guia to try the amazing Chicken Piri Piri, made using a very hot pepper from Angola, once a Portuguese territory in Africa. Salgados golf course in only ten minutes from Vale de Parra, and as well as taking a stroll around the green you can make the most of a game of tennis or take a cycle or horse-ride through the beautiful surrounding countryside. And as you will be staying just a few minutes from Albufeira you will be close to some fabulous beaches and hedonistic nightlife.
