The city experiences a wet and dry season - with winters seeing mild dry weather and summers having extremely hot humid conditions. December to March sees day time highs of 24C - 25C accompanied by 7 - 9 hours of sunshine,and pleasant dry days with virtually no humidity. Sea temperatures reach 25C at this time, with the waters of the Atlantic being warm enough for swimming and water sports. Rainfall is limited with the peak winter season receiving between 40mm - 70mm each month. The temperature and humidity level starts to increase in April, with the days seeing highs of up to 27C and 10 hours of daily sunshine, and by June the temperature is up to 30C and the rainy season has well and truly begun.

Holidays are unlikely to be truly all inclusive but guests will find a range of on-site facilities included in the price of their holiday package. You are unlikely to find all inclusive holidays offering limitless food and drinks in the style of Mexico or the Caribbean. Besides, most visitors would find an all inclusive holiday rather restricting given the superb choice of restaurants and nightlife in buzzing Las Olas Boulevard and the Fort Lauderdale Riverfront.
Fort Lauderdale boasts a wonderful stretch of white sandy beach, backed by a shady promenade, and offers plenty of space for sunbathing and a host of convenient facilities. Visit the state park on the beach, home to nature walks and picnic areas for a taste of the real Florida Coast. Of particular note is Deerfield Beach; Fort Lauderdale’s most award-winning, northerly beach, with numerous stunning coves. Families will enjoy nearby Ski Rixen; one of the first cable water ski parks in America.
Nicknamed the 'Venice of America', a holiday in Fort Lauderdale is a boater's paradise, thanks to its shoreline and series of canals. Visitors can enjoy coastal sightseeing cruises, jungle tours, glass-bottomed boat rides with snorkelling excursions, powerboat rentals, airboat rides, game fishing trips, yacht charters and boat rides along the famous intercoastal waterways.

The city has a host of attractions and sights to see, including a drive-in movie theatre, IMEX cinema, aquatic complex with a Swimming Hall of Fame, Fishing Museum, Performing Arts Centre, Museum of Art and Planetarium.
From Hugh Taylor Birch State Park on the beach to Billie Swamp Safari, there are plenty of reserves, parks and nature sanctuaries to visit, full of trails through swamps and wetlands, and home to local creatures such as flamingos and alligators.
Fort Lauderdale is a great place to stock up on goods and souvenirs, and is home to major outlet malls (including the huge Sawgrass Mills), complexes, upscale shopping villages and small boutiques on Riverwalk, and specialist stores such as fishing shops. The city also boasts the largest daily flea market in the world, the 'Swap Shop'.
