Marsascala Holidays

Marsascala Holiday – Harbourside dining in the Mediterranean sun

Marsascala is a small harbour town in the southeast of Malta with a pleasant promenade and some excellent restaurants. Nearby are the recently renovated St Thomas Tower, built by the ‘Knights of Malta’ and the little St Thomas Bay, popular with locals for sunbathing and swimming on summer weekends.

Marsascala is close to Marsaxlokk, Malta’s main traditional fishing village with its colourful painted boats whose design goes back to pre-Roman days. The seafront here is crowded with fish restaurants and there is a daily market, biggest on Sundays.

Holidaying in Marsascala, you are not far either from many of Malta’s other sights: the charming historic capital, Valletta; the impressive fortifications of the Three Cities; the Blue Grotto boat trip around caves on the south coast; and Malta’s remarkable 5000-year-old Temples.
