Former royal retreat with glorious sandy beaches
Built in 1934, the regal resort of Milocer is situated between the resorts of Sveti Stefan and Budva, and still retains its air of exclusivity by welcoming the Montenegrin President every summer. Holidays here are centred around the wonderful sandy beaches, with the main beach (known as the Queens' Beach) a 380m stretch of golden sand, perfect for relaxing sunbathing or active watersports. Other beaches, which include the Kings' Beach and nearby Przno, sit against the wonderful scenic backdrop of the Milocer Forest, with its pines and cypress trees and impressive collection of rare plants. Sveti Stefan, the fishing village built on an island sitting opposite Milocer, also boasts fantastic sandy beaches. Accommodation here is upmarket, with the former royal residence on the beach now a luxury hotel.
