With a peaceful hillside location on the outskirts of Faliraki, the 3-star Venezia Hotel affords lovely views across the resort and makes a good base for exploring both the nightlife and the rest of the island. The complex consists of attractive traditional-style whitewashed buildings overlooking a well laid-out pool area, complete with sun terraces and well-manicured lawns for sunbathing. The Venezia Hotel has an elevated position on the outer edges of Faliraki. It takes around 15 minutes to walk into Faliraki town centre, and a further 5 to reach the long sandy beach. Faliraki is well-known for its vibrant clubbing scene – here you’ll find plenty of restaurants and shops, as well as bars and clubs that stay open long into the night. The beach offers a whole host of watersports to try, from jet skiing to parasailing, or for a more sedate experience there are numerous boat trips that sail out to the smaller bays and coves in the area, including one of the prettiest on the island, Kathara Bay. Faliraki also has one of the biggest waterparks in Europe; the inventively named ‘Water Park’, which makes a great day out for young and old alike. Rhodes Town with it pretty medieval town centre and the beautiful traditional Greek village of Lindos are also just a short bus ride away.

 

The Venezia Hotel is a small to medium sized property with around 115 apartments. Rooms here are typically Greek, with gleaming white interiors and simple wooden furnishings. Studios sleeping up to 3 adults come with twin beds or a double bed. All rooms come with a kitchenette with 2 electric rings and a fridge, TV with DVD player, air-conditioning (payable locally), shower or bathroom with WC and balcony or terrace.

 

The hotel provides a good range of facilities for guests. There is the attractive pool area, with large swimming pool and adjacent children’s paddling pool. This is surrounded by sun terraces and well-manicured lawns; ideal for sunbathing. A lively poolside bar serves snacks and refreshments, while the main lounge bar offers respite from the sun and hosts regular evening entertainment. There is also air hockey and a pool table in here, as well as a daily happy hour – don’t miss the frozen cocktails! The hotel’s international restaurant serves a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is highly rated in reviews. It has an adjoining ball-pit, supervised by hotel staff, to keep smaller children occupied while guests are finishing their meals. A football and basketball court as well as a games room will keep the older children entertained. There is an on-site mini-market for essential provisions; handy for those opting to self-cater.
