Universal Resort is the perfect year round destination as the theme parks of Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure open their doors regardless of the weather and the popularity of these attractions means that they are bustling for 12 months of the year. The Orlando region high season is generally the winter months when temperatures are lower and average around a very pleasant 15-18 degrees, the weather is largely dry and the sun shines for around 10 hours a day. In other regions of Florida, winter is the peak season but Universal Resort is affected more by school holidays than the weather so it is worth checking when Orlando children break up as numbers of visitors swell significantly. As so much of the theme parks are covered, it really doesn't matter too much what the weather does and due to warm year round temperatures, even a bit of rain won't put the dampeners on the fun and excitement.

The Orlando area incorporating Universal Resort can be very hot and humid in the summer with temperatures reaching into the mid 30s and humidity levels can be quite high. This shouldn't put you off, however, as everywhere in America is well serviced by air conditioning and hotel rooms, shopping centres and public transport all remain very cool even when the heat outside is at its most intense. Additionally, many theme parks offer water based rides which can help you stay cool and water parks with pools, wave machines and slides can be found throughout Florida and can be the perfect way to cool off in the heat of the day. Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure also have many indoor attractions, covered restaurants and shops so finding shade is never a problem. In the summer months, it remains warm in the evenings and temperatures of around 20 degrees after dark make eating out and strolls at dusk a very pleasant experience.

In addition to the wonderful theme parks in and around Universal Resort there are plenty of other attractions that can be enjoyed depending on how the weather behaves. For example, autumn time is the perfect time to explore the natural parks such as the sprawling unspoilt beauty of Wekiwa Springs State Park. This is when the park is at its most vibrant and cooler temperatures make it the perfect time for trying some outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling. Orlando is a vibrant city offering endless shopping opportunities in large malls and small boutiques so if you are visiting before Christmas, you should consider doing all your Christmas shopping here. Universal Resorts and the surrounding area has so much to offer that no matter what time of year you visit you will not be disappointed and the weather will not stop you having a perfect holiday.
