Florida is nicknamed 'The Sunshine State' due to its reputation for good weather and tourists flock to holidays in Florida year round along with Americans from colder states who want to avoid the harsh winters at home. Holidays in St Pete Beach attracts visitors all year round and enjoys high temperatures throughout the seasons but one of the best times to visit is from October to April when the weather is milder and less intense than high summer. Generally, the summer is less busy than other times of the year so you can reap the benefits of having more of the beach to yourself. Evening temperatures remain warm in summer so al-fresco dining and outdoor activities continue long after the stunning Florida sunsets have wowed you with a colourful spectacle.

St Pete Beach and the surrounding area has so much to offer year round that unless you are only interested in sun-bathing, you cannot fail to find something fun and interesting to do. On the sea, activities include fishing, scuba diving and watching wildlife such as dolphins and unless the weather is very extreme which is most likely in high summer when humidity is at its highest, trips on the ocean will generally run all day long with sunset tours in the evening. On land, the area is bursting with great shopping, eating, entertainment and cultural attractions which can be great ways to either seek some shade in the hottest parts of the day or seek shelter if a rain shower forces you from the beach. St Pete Beach has the best of both worlds so no matter what the weather is doing, you cannot fail to have fun, no matter what time of year you visit.
