The city experiences a warm year-round climate, with the abundance of Florida sunshine making it a haven for fishing, boating and golfing. Winter temperatures in Naples are very warm, with December to February seeing average highs of 24C and at least 7 hours of sunshine each day. Days are generally dry during the winter season, with the region seeing between 30mm - 60mm of rain each month. The sea temperature dips down to 21C in February, with the Gulf of Mexico still warm enough for swimming in the winter, thanks to its constant averages of 22C - 24C. Evening temperatures can drop however, with December to February sometimes seeing average lows of 12C - 13C at night.
