If getting away from it all and relaxing in a tropical island paradise sounds like the perfect escape then a Key Biscayne holiday is hard to beat. A pretty island lying just off the east coast of Miami, Key Biscayne in an idyllic and exclusive resort of gorgeous sandy beaches and palm trees completely surrounded by clear blue seas. Weather in Key Biscayne

November sees the start of the dry tourist season in Key Biscayne, with temperatures of 26C. The weather cools a little from December to February, with highs of 23C and 7 hours of sunshine each day. In general these winter days are ideal for the beach and sightseeing, and the low humidity makes conditions very pleasant. Rainfall is very minimal during this time, with around 50mm - 70mm seen each month, and sea temperatures hover around 24C - 25C throughout the season. Temperatures heat up in April, rising to 25C and reaching 28C by May. Humidity starts to increase too, with conditions becoming extremely hot and sticky by the height of the summer, and the months of July and August reaching 31C. Thanks to its location, Key Biscayne sees coastal breezes which help to temper the intense heat of the summer. There is a dramatic rise in rainfall at this time, with May seeing 124mm and the wettest month of June receiving 175mm. Rain comes in the form of heavy intense showers every afternoon, and despite the wet weather, there is usually 9 - 10 hours of sunshine each day. Hurricane season in Key Biscayne is from June to October, September being the worst month, with the island being particularly susceptible to hurricanes as its location means it sits right in the path of oncoming storms.
