When to go
Any time of year is a great time to visit Olu Deniz but many people stick to May, June, September and October when the temperatures are absolutely gorgeous, reaching the upper 70s and lower 80s without being sticky and humid. July and August can be fiercely hot and the vast beach can become crowded during August but it’s so huge there’s always a quiet corner to be found. Holidays to Olu Deniz during the school holidays are most expensive, as you’d expect.
The weather in Olu Deniz
If you love your weather hot, choose package holidays to Olu Deniz during July and August when daytime temperatures reach 32C and it only falls to 18C at night, with serious humidity on the cards. Either end of the summer break, you’ll find it cooler but still absolutely splendid! Expect June daytime temperatures of 29C and 15C after dark, and in September daytime temperatures reaching 29C, 14C at night. May and October are also lovely, 24C and 23C during the day and 11C at night. The sea is warmest from July to September and it’s wettest between November and February.

Airport and transport need to know
You’ll fly direct to Dalaman airport (DLM) to reach this super resort, a very popular airport that’s modern and well equipped, used to handling thousands of revellers quickly and efficiently, with plenty to see, do and buy on-site. From the UK you can fly to Dalaman airport from Belfast City and Belfast International, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, London, Manchester and more. Once you get there it’s a relatively swift transfer of just 33 miles to the resort, and there are frequent bus and taxi services from Dalaman.
A shuttle bus transfer costs about £18 each for a return trip, private taxis cost from £140 or so per vehicle for a return trip. Of course you can always hire a car at the airport or arrange hire before you go, and discover the fabulous coast and interior that way. Remember that they drive on the right in Turkey and they’re famous for driving really fast!
