Kas Holidays – Unspoiled surroundings, amazing weather!
Kas was once a tiny fishing village and it’s still unspoiled, being two hours' drive from Fethiye and a long way from both of Turkey’s main airports. It’s a holiday haven with glorious mountain and Mediterranean views, a mellow ambience and fewer visitors than many Turkish resorts. The ruins of ancient Antiphellos are mixed with modern buildings, and the Greek island of Megisti is perfect for day trips. The two beaches at Kas are small and pebbly, and many visitors drive or take a short local bus ride west to Patara for gorgeous golden sands.
Otherwise the village offers lots of friendly waterfront coffee-houses and restaurants, exciting boat trips to Üçağız, Kaleköy and the Blue Cave, visits to nearby Kalkan and a series of splendid mountain walks. There are ancient Lycian cities and archaeological sites everywhere, including Demre, Xanthos and Tlos. All of which makes Kas holidays the perfect choice for people who love a quiet holiday in spectacular surroundings, with superb weather.
