Dalaman Things to do

Beaches
You won’t be disappointed with beaches in the Dalaman area!  Imagine turquoise blue sea, sandy beaches and plenty of sunshine. The Dalaman Region is famous for its beautiful, golden beaches lapped by the warm Mediterranean Sea and there is an abundance of beaches to choose from in the area. Take your pick!  In the west of Dalaman you have the nearby beach resorts of Marmaris, Icmeler and Turunc, while to the west you have the equally impressive resorts of Fethiye and Olu Deniz.

Eating out
There is loads of choice when it comes to choosing restaurants and bars in Dalaman area. You can choose between traditional local food and modern International cuisine. Why not sit in a café and what the world go by, sipping a Turkish coffee.  Or try out the local fish, and try out the traditional Turkish cuisine.  The variety and simplicity of the recipes and the quality of the ingredients are guarantees of delicious meals.

Nightlife
The nightlife is second to none, and if you want the liveliest discos and bars around then take a taxi ride to Marmaris where the parties can last until dawn.  Perfect if you fancy night out on the town.

Sightseeing
If you are a lover of historical attractions a holiday to Dalaman will be a joy. The coastline along the Dalaman region is home to numerous historical sites such as the sunken city of Kekova. Be sure to make the short trip to Dalyan if you want to view the ancient Lycian tombs that are set into the cliffs, well worth the visit.

Boat Trips
Boat trips in the Dalaman region are numerous throughout the summer and are not that expensive. Boats from the beach resorts will take you to the beautiful Butterfly Valley or you can take an Islands cruise and stop off for some swimming along the way. There are also boat trips that make the 55 minute journey to Rhodes where you can explore the island for a day or stay overnight in order to explore the region properly.
