Things to do in Antalya
Antalya town is a part of the Turkish Riviera and boasts some of the best beaches in the region, with golden sand and clear waters. There are many blue flag beaches, so you can always be sure the water is going to be perfectly clean, and as it is on the Aegean Sea, the water is always warm. Lara beach is popular with families and runs many water sports activities, and Konyaalti beach is fantastically clean, meaning you can easily spend the whole of your week just between these two on beach holidays here.
Antalya has attracted tourists for many years, and the clubs and bars cater to both this audience and those looking for a more quiet and tradition place to have a coffee or drink following a day exploring the town or on the beach. Restaurants & Cafes
There are countless restaurants and cafes in Antalya serving European or locally produced food. Being on the Aegean Sea, fish is a big part of the Turkish diet and the quality is excellent as it is often caught locally. Look out especially for Orfoz (grouper), Mercan (red sea bream) and Levrek (sea bass), which are all available on Turkish menus the whole year round. The marina area is well known for having the best quality fish, however if you are looking for something a little more like home, there are Chinese and English restaurants to be found.
If you want to take a break from the excellent beaches here, then there are a number of water parks to pick from which are an excellent day out for the whole family. Dolphinland offers the chance to swim with these amazing animals and Dedeman Aqua Park is the biggest in the Middle East, so guarantees an amazing day out on family holidays.
