Lara Things to Do

Beach & Aquapark
If you are looking for sun and fun but also the opportunity to completely relax in a family-friendly resort, then grab your beach towel, a good book and sunscreen and head for a holiday to Lara. As well as boasting an extensive sandy Mediterranean beach, only a few kilometres away is the Dedeman Aquapark where the whole family could spend the day having a great time on the waterslides and chutes.

Mountains & Waterfalls
The Taurus Mountains running parallel to the south coast of Turkey are an explorer’s dream. Also, a visit to the cliff-side Duden waterfalls, just a few kilometres from Lara Beach, is often described by visitors to Lara as being the highlight of their stay.

Nightlife
When it comes to deciding upon places to eat, drink and dance the night away, at Lara Beach you’ll be spoilt for choice. Most hotels offer evening entertainment, and if you fancy venturing out of the hotel and sampling the local nightlife itself, then there are numerous pavement cafes and bars where a warm welcome awaits you (not to mention the belly dancers who are a ‘must see’ at the traditional music bars).

Historical Sites
Lara Beach is only 12km from Antalya. There, a visit to an ancient city will take you back centuries in time, to the Bronze Age, in fact. What’s more, trips from Lara Beach to Antalya and then on to the Bridged Canyon National Park mean you get to see the ruins of a Roman Amphitheatre and the Temple of Zeus, (so don’t forget to take your camera).

Shopping
Not one for taking to the hills? How about treating yourself then to something at one of nearby Antalya’s bustling bazaars and markets? With an array of merchandise to choose from (leather goods, clothes, jewellery and traditional woven carpets), you’re only problem will be fitting all your goodies into your suitcase on your journey home!
