Aspro Holidays has ceased trading. The company was part of the MyTravel group and was subsequently acquired by Thomas Cook Group PLC.
What they did
Aspro specialised in the budget holiday market, with particular emphasis on summer beach breaks. The company catered to groups and single travellers as well as couples and families. Accommodation included self catering, half board, full board and all-inclusive options.
Typical Aspro destinations
Aspro built a reputation for low-cost packages to sunshine destinations in the Mediterranean. They were a good source of budget holidays to Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza. Popular destinations also included Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Spain resorts on offer included the Costa del Sol, Costa Brava, Costa Blanca and Costa Dorada They also sold holidays to resorts on the Algarve coast of Portugal. European beach breaks also featured resorts in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Malta, Turkey and Greece. Destinations beyond Europe included Tunisia, Mexico and the Caribbean islands of Barbados, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. Aspro used a number of UK airports that included Bristol, East Midlands, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, Stansted and Gatwick.
