Koh Samui Holidays

Koh Samui - relax in tropical beach heaven
Koh Samui is Thailand’s third largest island, situated 80 km east of Suratthani, just off the western coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Honeymooners, serious travellers and family groups alike will find holiday heaven on Koh Samui, which is world famous for its outstanding beaches, crystal clear, sheltered waters, and beautiful tropical interior. The quickest way to arrive here is flying from Bangkok, although its also possible to travel by train and ferry, or by bus and ferry from Suratthani - the cheapest option. Temperatures in Koh Samui are warm all year round, with an average daytime temperature of 82F or 28C. The last few months of the year are the wettest, while the months of March to September are fairly dry.

Koh Samui - hotels and beach bungalow resorts offer something for every one
Koh Samui resorts all offer something different. The resort villages of Mae Nam, Bophut and Choeng Mon on the southern and western coasts of Koh Samui suit couples looking for a peaceful, romantic backdrop, while busier Chaweng on the east coast is ideal for families and groups looking for watersports and lively night-time entertainment. Here you’ll find a buzzing shopping district, nightclubs and countless bars and restaurants. Also on the east coast of Koh Samui is Lamai, which again is  popular with holiday visitors looking for some excitement, perfect beach conditions, and plenty of budget to luxury accommodation options.  Many visitors enjoy staying in beach bungalow resorts, to enjoy close proximity to the white sandy beaches, and stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand.

Koh Samui - see breath-taking temples and swim in waterfalls
The beauty of Koh Samui is that it’s blessed with superb beaches, and has a wealth of inland treasures to search out and admire. Holiday visitors will love the island’s natural waterfalls, such as the Na Muang and Hin Lad waterfalls. Serious trekking may be required to reach these places of natural beauty, but you’ll be rewarded with the chance of a refreshing dip in the plunge pools when you get there. There are also gentler forest walks to do, but for real rest and some spiritual calm, why not visit some of Koh Samui's beautiful Buddhist temples? At Wat Sumret  there is a white marble Buddah, believed to be several hundred years old. This temple is also home to the Secret Hall of Buddhas, which is a rare collection of valuable Buddha images.
