The period from March to May sees very hot humid weather, with average temperatures of 30C, sometimes rising to a maximum of 35C, and this period sees fewer hours of sun each day. May experiences an increase in rainfall, with Bangkok receiving an average of 182mm during the month.
Weather in Bangkok - Southwest monsoon hits from May to November
Bangkok experiences a southwest monsoon from May to November, and this rainy season sees short showers each day, mainly in the afternoon. The rainiest period is between August and October, with the wettest month of September seeing almost 300mm of rain. The weather is still very hot, reaching an average of 27C - 28C, and the humidity levels remain very high throughout the monsoon.
