Klosters Holidays
Ski with royalty
To many people, Klosters holidays mean skiing and the chance to meet royalty. Klosters does offer fantastic skiing holidays and snowboarding among the mountains in Switzerland, with long, intermediate runs into the village from the Parsenn and plenty of accessible off-piste skiing that will suit more-experienced skiers. There's also access to the Davos ski network, as Klosters skiers and snowboarders share the Parsenn ski field. Snowboarders will particularly enjoy Pischa, which has three protected runs. For skiing beginners and families, Madrisa and Rinerhorn are perfect while experts should head for Parsennhutte-Wolfgang, Meierhofer Talli or Gotschnagrat. A combined lift pass will give you access to ski areas that include over 50 lifts and cable cars, and nearly 200 miles of piste.
Off the piste
Klosters holidays in the Swiss lakes and mountains are renowned for skiing, but there's plenty for non-skiers and for those looking for a touch of après-ski. Klosters boasts a huge variety of restaurants, nightclubs and bars. Despite this, it's a fairly quiet resort. Eating out is a particular pleasure on a Klosters holiday, with the two-Michelin-starred Walserhof among many excellent restaurants. Klosters also features ice skating, a sports centre, curling, ice hockey, and sleigh rides and sled runs. You can also enjoy some fine hiking trails and cross-country ski tracks on a Klosters holiday.
More than just skiing
To many, Klosters holidays in the Swiss mountains and lakes are synonymous with skiing, but this is great hiking country, too. Visitors flock to Davos Klosters in summer and winter for its stunning meadows, pastures and forests and, in particular, the mountains, which come with hundreds of kilometres of well-maintained and clearly signed walking trails. Here, you can venture into the Walser's old settlements, and explore the lovely sunlit valleys of Davos Klosters.
Klosters weather
On a Klosters holiday in the Swiss lakes and mountains, visitors will experience seasonal weather. Summer temperatures, between June and August, typically hover around the low 20s centigrade, so Klosters becomes perfect walking country, with its Alpine meadows and sun-shaded forests. In summer, the valleys will typically be hot, even though there may still be cloud and rain over the mountains in Switzerland. Weather in spring and autumn around Klosters is still pleasant, with temperatures in the teens. In winter, snow sports fans flock to Klosters to enjoy guaranteed snow in the Swiss mountain resort and in the neighbouring resorts of Davos, Arosa and Flims Laax Falera.
