Water sports
The beaches of Torremolinos, stretching for 6km, are ideal for practicing all manner of water sports, and the resort has facilities for everything from jet skis, windsurfing and water-skiing to kitesurfing, kayaking and scuba diving. Two of the most popular beaches are Bajondillo and Playamar, ideal for swimming, with plenty of bars and cafes. 

Theme parks
The area around Torremolinos is full of theme parks, with plenty of options to keep the whole family happy. Choose from day trips to Tivoli Amusement Park, the regions' largest theme park, Sea Life, with its aquarium and host of marine life, Aquapark, a water park with over 30 rides, and Selwo Marine and Safari Parks, a unique mix of zoo, safari and adventure parks. 

Horse riding
The resort is home to a equestrian centre, where riders of all levels and abilities can enjoy leisurely treks in the nearby pine forests outside Torremolinos, and discover the beauty of the local countryside. As well as offering tuition, the riding school hosts shows for the public featuring riders performing 'equestrian ballet' in traditional Spanish dress..  

Golf
The Costa del Sol's perfect climate attracts many golfers and the region boasts the highest concentration of courses in Europe. Torremolinos itself has a choice of three 18-hole golf courses within easy reach, ideal for beginners and experts alike, keen to enjoy a round in the sun.

Sports
As well as its extensive golfing facilities, Torremolinos offers other sports, such as tennis clubs and a 10-pin bowling alley, and the resort is home to a large sports stadium, regularly hosting international events. Bikes can be hired, for those looking to venture out into the countryside and escape the hustle and bustle of the resort.

Fiestas
Fiestas are a regular event all over Spain, with Torremolinos holding its own local celebrations. After fiestas for the Virgin of Carmen in July, and Tourist Day in early September, the largest fiestas in Torremolinos occurs in late September. Known as the Feria de San Miguel, this huge summer fair include sports events, as well as music, dancing, feasting, processions and fireworks, attracting up to 200,000 revellers every year.   

Shopping
Torremolinos offers a huge choice of shopping options, from traditional souvenirs and clothing to locally made jewellery, leather and the famous Lladro figurines, with the pedestrian area, lined with small shops and cafes, the hub of the resort. From tiny Spanish workshops to large international stores selling famous brands, this lively resort offers something for everyone.
