El Palmar Things To Do

El Palmar beaches are immense swathes of golden sand unspoilt by the modern developments found in other parts of the Spanish coastline. The warm Atlantic Ocean and the sunny climate make El Palmar one of the most desired beach destinations. El Palmar beaches are truly magnificent in size and the perfect place to spend a lazy day in the sun.

 

El Palmar beaches are very popular with those who love to indulge in water sports. Water sports in El Palmar are a year round activity and can include sailing, surfing, wind-surfing and fishing. El Palmar Beach is world known among surfers and there are surf schools available for those who wish to take part in this exciting sport. Scuba diving is another popular water sport that is available all year round.

 

There are a number of day trips and excursions available from El Palmar. The romantic little fortress town of Vejer de la Frontera is only 8KM from El Palmar and is well regarded as one of the jewels of the Costa del Sol with its sugar cube white houses. Nearby Conil de la Frontera boasts another excellent beach and some superb seafood restaurants.  The vibrant Spanish cities of Cadiz and Seville are also only a short journey from El Palmar.

 

Golf in El Palmar is another popular sport thanks to the the year round sunny climate and excellent beach views and there are several excellent golf courses in the El Palmar area. First class golf courses and facilities can be found at the Campano Club de Golf in nearby Conil or at Vejer’s Montemedio Golf Course.

 

As you would expect from a beach resort there is no shortage of excellent seafood and fish restaurants in El Palmar. There are also numerous restaurants, bars and taverns in the area serving delicious international dishes and traditional Spanish cuisine.
