Gerona Airport is a small airport, located 35km from the resort, with the larger Barcelona Airport being 60km away. Transfers are included on package holidays to Santa Susanna, and take about 45 minutes, with shuttle buses running to the coast, as well as taxis and car hire. Taxis carry a maximum of 4 passengers (larger vehicles are available on request), with the fixed rate to Santa Susanna costing around 50 euros (40GBP). The main beach at the resort is a welcoming 2km stretch, with clean sand that slopes gently into the clear waters of the Mediterranean.
