Town
A quiet and peaceful haven, this charming medieval village boasts a true Spanish character, with its local church and authentic stone buildings dating back to the 17th century. Llofriu is a great base for exploring the area, and is known for its village restaurants offering regional specialities and authentic Catalan dishes.   
 
Beaches
Nearby beaches along the Costa Brava include Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu, which offer both sandy stretches and rocky coves. Water sports to try include windsurfing, jet skiing, snorkelling and diving, and both sail boats and motor boats can be hired from the beaches.
 
Walking & Hiking
The beautiful Catalan countryside offers a network of trails and paths, and there's terrain for all levels, from relaxed strolls to strenuous hikes. Walks lead through the stunning landscapes and charming local villages, as well as along winding clifftops.
 
Cycling
A great way to get out and see the beauty of the real Spain, cycling is also a popular activity. The area around Llofriu offers smooth flat roads and challenging hills and trails, as well winding coastal paths.

Aquadiver in Plat ja d'Aro, Marineland in Palafolls and Aquabrava in Roses all offer family entertainment at their water parks, and are open every day during the summer. 
 
Local Fairs & Festivals
The village is famous for its Cork Stripping Festival in June, and the Llofriu Village Fair is held in late August. Neighbouring Palafrugell and Pals hold their local celebrations in spring, July and mid-August.
 
Day Trips
Day trips you can take on a holiday to Llofriu include the Cork Museum of Palafrugell, the Cap Roig Botanical Gardens and the Dali museum in Figueres, as well as the artist's childhood home in Cadaques. The city of Girona, the country's most popular theme park, Port Aventura, and Barcelona are also good options.
