Beaches are an important aspect of any holiday in the Costa Brava, and Llagostera is the ideal base from which to explore numerous beaches. The resort is only 14km from wonderful golden beaches such as Tossa de Mar, Tamariu and Palamos. Take your pick from quiet secluded beaches or the more popular vibrant beaches that are only a short trip from Llagostera.

Llagostera is ideally located for excursions to a wealth of exciting destinations. Take a short trip to the medieval city of Gerona that boasts a variety of cultural gems within its ancient Roman walls. Trips to the vibrant city of Barcelona are a must to see Spain at its most colourful and to indulge in some fantastic restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

For the more energetic holiday maker there is an abundance of sports available in and around Llagostera. The spectacular Pyrenees Mountains are less than an hour’s journey and activities can include mountaineering, white water rafting, paragliding and horse riding. Activity tours can be arranged including canyoning, mountain biking and bungee jumping.

 

Restaurants in Llagostera range from quiet little taverns serving traditional Spanish dishes to the up market restaurants of Barcelona and Gerona. Traditional Catalonian cuisine is well regarded throughout the world and the traditional seafood and meat dishes are superb. The world famous Cava wines are exported all over the world.

 

The Port Aventura Park excursion is well worth taking to indulge in some thrilling roller-coaster rides and pirate ship adventures. This amazing park is one of Europe’s most popular venues and will delight both adults and children.

Saint Feliu
A day trip to the romantic harbour town of Saint Feliu from Llagostera is another holiday bonus. Saint Feliu boasts an amazing cliff walk to a fabulous beach and also provides some excellent fresh fish and seafood restaurants down by the harbour. This is the perfect place to unwind and watch the lights sparkle over the charming bay.
