Airport and Transport Need to Know

To get to Llagostera, you fly into Gerona Airport (GRO), which is just 15km from the town. Flight time is 2-2.5 hours from the UK, and there are plenty of departures from a number of regional airports, including London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Stansted, Luton, Manchester, East Midlands, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow and Prestwick. The airport is small but efficient, as it serves the whole of the Costa Brava, and is rapidly developing to meet demand.

 

Getting to the town is easy and takes 15 minutes from the airport. Taxis are available and can take 4 passengers, with the fixed rate to Llagostera costing 30 euros (20GBP).
