Airport and Transport Need to Know
Flights to Llafranc are via Gerona Airport (GRO), with the resort accessible from Barcelona Airport (BCN), too, and departures from the UK taking between 2 - 2.5 hours. There are regular flights from a number of regional airports, including London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Stansted and Luton, as well as Bournemouth, Cardiff, Bristol, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Humberside, Liverpool, Glasgow and Prestwick. Gerona Airport is quite small, with just a few shops, but serves the entire Costa Brava region.
It is situated just over 50km from the resort, with transfers to Llafranc taking about 1 hour. Llafranc's main beach sits in a delightful horseshoe-shaped bay, backed by pine forests, and offers a truly idyllic spot for a day in the sunshine.
