Playa La Arena Holidays
Playa La Arena holidays – Fab food, fab beach, stunning views!
Set in Tenerife’s gorgeous south west and once a little fishing village, today Playa La Arena joins more or less seamlessly with the popular resorts of Los Gigantes and Puerto de Santiago. You’ll love the stunning sea cliffs, gorgeous award-winning black volcanic sand beaches and a peaceful, laid back atmosphere. This is no crowded tourist hotspot, so it’s particularly popular with families and couples, the perfect destination if you enjoy a good night’s sleep away from the non-stop party atmosphere of many other Tenerife resorts. There’s a brilliant craft market every Monday in nearby Alcala. The food is excellent, well priced and creative. And Playa la Arena holidays are famous for a particularly delicious locally-caught octopus salad. Just watch out for ‘Mojo’, one of the hottest chilli sauces on earth! If you have little children or mobility difficulties, the steep slope up from the harbour to where most of the resort’s accommodation is located might make Playa La Arena unsuitable.
