Beach
Known as 'The Englishmans' Beach', the main attraction at this lively resort is, of course, the 8km golden sandy stretch that hugs the coastline. Backed by a busy pedestrian promenade, the beach offers distinct areas for everyone, from families with children, to nudists and gay sunbathers.

Water sports
A hive of activity, the beach is also the scene of many water sports for those looking for more energetic pursuits than sunworshipping. Choose from banana boat rides, pedalos, jet skis, windsurfing and paragliding.

Sports
The resort offers facilities for the sports-enthusiast, including tennis, mini-golf, go-karting and sky-diving. With the island boasting the ideal climate for golfing, there are three courses within a few kilometers of the resort.

Theme parks
Ideally placed to the numerous theme parks on the island, Playa del Ingles offers a wide variety of family days out. Visit the nearby water parks Aquasur and Ocean Park, the Wild West Sioux City, the subtropical attraction, Palmitos Park and the funfair at Holiday World. Further north lies the popular Crocodile Park, Reptilandia Park and Canary Village.

Camel Rides
Neighbouring Maspalomas is well-known for its protected sand dunes, and no trip to Playa del Ingles is complete without viewing the vast Sahara-like beach. Stroll up and down the undulating beaches, or try a real taste of the desert on an adventurous and challenging camel trek across the exotic golden sands.      

Boat trips
Go dolphin spotting, explore the depths of the sea on a glass-bottomed boat or relax on a booze cruise for the day. Playa del Ingles offers a wide variety of boat trips up and down the coast, as well as catamaran sailing and big game fishing.

Jeep tours
An exciting and exhilarating way to see the island, jeep tours can be arranged to explore the central and northern areas of Gran Canaria. Enjoy the ride in a 4x4, whilst taking in the scenery and viewing  the spectacular sights of untouched landscapes throughout the region.
