Beaches

Discover towering sand dunes displaying unique flora and fauna, beautiful lagoons and secluded coves. From black volcanic sand to white powdery beaches, the Fuertaventura shoreline offers amazing variety.
Surfing
Regarded as the premier surf destination in the Canaries, Fuertaventura is a haven for surfers with perfect breaks to suit all levels. Long stretches of unsheltered shoreline offer exhilerating rides especially with the arrival of large Atlantic swells in Autumn. A number of well regarded surf schools are located in the resorts of Corralejo and Caleta.
Birdwatching
Nature walks are an increasing popular activity for visitors and can be arranged through many resort hotels. With particular emphasis on birdwatching, knowledgeable guides will escort you through a range of habitats rich in migratory and native birdlife. Bird of prey species are numerous with vulture, kestrel and hawk sightings common.
