Menorca Weather – Mild winters
The weather during winter is still very mild, with highs of up to 15°C even in January. Temperatures in winter rarely fall below 4°C, and rainfall occurs mostly during autumn. The prevailing northerly wind, known locally as the 'tramontana' is felt particularly during March. The winds on the island are used by the Menorcans for renewable energy, with the first wind farm in the Balearic Islands being built here.
