Things to do Cala n Blanes
Cala n Blanes
Situated on Menorca’s rugged West coast, Cala n Blanes is a lively holiday resort by Menorcan standards. It has almost completely merged with neighbouring Cala n Forcat increasing the overall size of the resort and all that it has to offer.
Beaches
Most of the beaches along this coast are very small coves, however, Cala n Blanes has the advantage of a gorgeous, palm tree lined, sandy beach that is clean and safe for both adults and children. You are sure to enjoy this exotic island get away with its family friendly facilities. The warm Mediterranean Sea is generally calm and perfect for a relaxing swim.
Diving
For more adventurous past times, there is some fantastic diving all along the islands West coast and you will find dive schools and centres in Cala n Blanes that would be happy to help with either lessons, equipment hire or dive tours. There are also many other activities such as tennis and sailing to keep you entertained during your stay.
Restaurants & Nightlife
You will be spoilt for choice when choosing how to spend your evenings in Cala n Blanes. The nightlife is lively with an abundance of nightclubs and bars. There are plenty of restaurants that cater for a complete range of tastes and budgets. For British style cuisine or fast food, the choices are ample, but should you desire a more authentic Menorcan restaurant then you may want to venture a little further away from the actual resort of Cala n Blanes. You will find some lovely traditional restaurants in nearby Ciudadela.
Ciudadela
If you wish to explore a little further afield then why not visit the beautiful city of Ciudadela with excellent shops and sites. Should you be on holiday at the end of June then Ciudadela celebrates the Fiesta de Sant Joan on 23rd – 24th June which is reputed to be the most spectacular fiesta on the island. For some family fun, the Aqua Centre Water Park is near to Cala n Blanes and is clean and excellent value although maybe not quite as good for older children.
