Santa Ponsa, Majorca

Santa Ponsa Holidays – Sun, sea and something for everyone

Santa Ponsa is one of Majorca’s most well-established beach holiday resorts and attracts a wide variety of visitors throughout the year. The resort is conveniently located just 20km west of the capital Palma and the Palma de Mallorca Airport on a beautiful stretch of Majorcan coastline with access to a superb selection of sandy beaches and coves. A wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafes are spread throughout the resort with many of these ideally positioned close to the beach or along one of the two main streets. There are also many small shops and boutiques as well as a local crafts market held in the evenings throughout the summer months.

Santa Ponsa offers a variety of activities keeping visitors entertained throughout the day and night. Families can make the most of the shallow waters at the resort’s two beaches as well as nearby attractions including the Western Waterpark, Aqualand and the Marineland wildlife centre. The resort also boasts three high quality golf courses for a relaxing day on the green. There are several live music venues and late night clubs in the resort attracting groups of friends in search of a lively atmosphere. In addition, you can head to the neighbouring resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf for a guaranteed all-night party.

When to go

Santa Ponsa holidays are popular year-round, attracting a mixture of visitors at different times of the year. If you’re in search of a hassle-free family holiday and are restricted to travelling during the school holidays then the summer months of July and August are inevitably a good choice with the longest, hottest days and warmest waters. The resort does get busiest at this time of year however and can start to feel somewhat crowded in places. However, the beach has been extended with artificial sand to accommodate this and there are certainly enough cafes and restaurants to provide something for everyone. The cooler half of the year is a good choice if you are looking for a more relaxed feel and are able to enjoy an extended break in the winter sun.
