Playa de Muro holidays are based in a popular modern beach resort in the middle of the broad Bay of Alcudia on the north east coast of the island of Majorca, 34 miles from Palma and the airport. Playa de Muro is one of the more recently developed resorts in Majorca. Breaks here offer most of the more upmarket and attractive accommodation on the bay, along with the area’s best shops and some of the better restaurants. Playa de Muro beach is a superb stretch of fine sand that continues to the port and resort of Puerto Alcudia. Just inland from here is the attractive medieval old town of Alcudia. The Playa de Muro area is dotted with small lakes linked by canals and bordered by wetlands that form the S’Albufera nature reserve. The town enjoys a wide selection of restaurants with some nice quayside options at Puerto Alcudia. Playa de Muro has a choice of bars and discos dotted along the coast and many hotels offer family entertainment. Playa de Muro nightlife is quite busy around the port of Alcudia. There is a lot for children to do too.

Playa de Muro beach is considered one of the best Majorca beaches and it is certainly the longest. Playa de Muro beach has calm warm shallow water and plenty of decent beach amenities, making this a popular area with families. Visitors to Playa de Muro can sample different areas of the beachfront using local buses, which can also be used to visit the popular neighbouring resorts of Puerto Pollensa and Ca’n Picafort. Playa de Muro offers plenty of things to keep children amused. Things to do here can include boat trips, a water park, karting, tennis, cycling, horse riding, bird watching in the marshes, and plenty of watersports.
