Formentor Things to do

things to do in Formentor

Beach
Formentor is sometimes described by holidaymakers as being ‘a wonderful world all of its own’. The long beach’s to the south of the peninsular; there is a huge range of water sports on offer.  It’s also enjoyable watching your kids have a great time paddling and swimming in the warm clear water at Cala de Pi de la Posada.  Days at the beach at Formentor really do offer something for all the family to enjoy.

Nature
As well as the beaches, what also sets a holiday to Formentor apart as a ‘must visit’ resort is the abundance of stunning nature all around. Imagine packing a picnic and then the whole family heading off for a leisurely walk through some of the wildest and most compelling scenery in Europe.

Bird-Watching
The bird-life in the area is awesome. That’s why bird-watchers from all over the world head for the region in March and April to spend hours-on-end simply watching the colourful bird-life, taking photos, and returning home after a couple of weeks with their appreciation of birds deepened further still.

Explore
For the more intrepid holidaymaker, exploring the vast cliffs and fjord-like inlets at Formentor won’t disappoint. Follow the hill paths to the very top of the dramatic cliffs; breathe in the wonderful fresh air; and be stunned by the spectacular views of the little bay backed by pine forests beneath you.

Famous Lighthouse
With so much on offer at here, you’ll need to plan your holiday very carefully to fit everything in. But a ‘must see’ during your stay is the famous Formentor Lighthouse (only an enjoyable walk or short car ride away up narrow but beautiful winding roads). Upon reaching the lighthouse, you can also enjoy amazing views of the surrounding sea.
