Son Matias, Majorca

Consistently rated as one of the top hotels in Majorca’s Palma Nova, the adults-only Son Matias boasts a fantastic location right on the beach-front of the wide, sandy Son Matias Beach. The other two popular beaches of the area, Es Carregador and Playa de Palma Nova are also both within walking distance. Palma Nova resort centre is around a 10 minute walk away and provides all manner of activities to enjoy. These include boat trips along the coast, the hugely popular ‘Golf Fantasia’ 50-hole mini golf course, the giant water-park at nearby, a Wild West theme park, go-kart track and a marine park featuring dolphins and sea lions. The lively nightlife of Magaluf is also a short walk away.

 

The Son Matias hotel has a total of 135 rooms set across 9 floors. Rooms are comfortable and modern and have a stunning sea or garden view. Rooms come with 2 or 3 beds, flat screen TV, radio, air conditioning, en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, mini bar, safety deposit box, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and balcony or terrace. There are also 3 suites especially for disabled guests.

 

The hotel centres around an attractive free-form pool which is surrounded by 300sq metres of sun terraces and tropical gardens. There is a games room with table tennis and pool table, as well as a heated outdoor Jacuzzi. Meals are taken in the air conditioned buffet restaurant, which serves a variety of dishes and has weekly themed nights. An entertainment programme is put on throughout the high season, with daytime sporting activities such as French bowls, archery and aqua aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with cabaret, live music, and professional shows. The 24 hour reception provides a currency exchange service and laundry service, and there are public internet terminals with high speed Wi-Fi connection.
