Sol Apartments, Lanzarote

The Sol Apartments offer good, basic accommodation in the popular resort of Costa Teguise at incredibly affordable rates. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and guests here are ideally placed to enjoy both the nearby black sandy beach and the bars, shops and restaurants of the resort. Days can be spent lounging in the sun around the decent-sized pool, while all rooms come with self-catering facilities, making this an excellent choice for cheap holidays in Lanzarote. The hotel was renovated in 2011, giving the accommodation a contemporary, airy feel. The apartments are located in a great central location where holiday activities like water park and theme park day trips, horse-riding, golf, boat trips and excursions can easily be arranged.

 

Located just 400m from the black sandy beach where there are a number of cafes and bars, the Sol Apartments are ideal for a beach holiday in the Canaries. There are also cafes, restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Approximately 500m from the hotel is a bus stop with services running to Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen for those after a change of scenery. Both the Aqua Lanza Water Park and the Rancho Texas theme park are a short taxi or bus ride away, and make an excellent family day out. There is a top-class 18-hole golf course in Costa Teguise for those interested in a spot of golf on their holiday, and a great selection of local natural attractions nearby, including the volcanic lava caves at Cuerva de los Verdes and Jameos de Agua.

 

The accommodation at the Sol Apartments consists of 52 one-bedroom apartments, sleeping 2-4 people, with twin beds and a living area with a sofa bed. Rooms are light and airy and come with a well-appointed kitchenette complete with fridge, microwave, 2 electric hobs, coffee-making machine, kettle and toaster. There is free Wi-Fi in all rooms, as well as 32” flat screen satellite TV, safety deposit box, hairdryer, telephone, bathroom with shower and WC, and balcony or terrace. 

 

The Sol Apartments has a good range of facilities including a decent sized pool set in attractive garden with a surrounding sun terrace, a snack bar and a pool bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. A snooker and billiards table, mini golf course and bowling green will keep the kids entertained, and there is also a daily mini club organised for them during the high season. A number of services can be arranged at the reception, including currency exchange, bike rental, city tours and a laundry service.
