The school Easter holidays are a popular time to take a package holidays abroad. At Easter, while the UK when is still shaking off the cold and rain of the winter, many of the top holiday destinations are enjoying warm weather and plenty of sun. Easter holidays offers often represent good value for money and it is possible to visit resorts without the crowds experienced in the peak summer holiday months and particularly over the August bank holiday weekend break.

Easter Holidays - Destinations
Easter sees the start of the holiday season for much of the Mediterranean region and while of Spain, Portugal and the Canaries are popular all year round it is the Easter holidays (and more precisely the school Easter holidays) that see even the smaller holiday destinations come to life.
Because family holidays are popular over Easter prices can often remain high with the most popular resorts selling out well in advance. Easter late deals and last minute bargain holidays over Easter are possible but the choice of destination or flight times may be restricted or simply unavailable. If you can only travel on certain dates over the Easter period (for example to fit in with the school Easter break) then early booking is advisable.

Easter Holiday Deals
The Easter holiday dates vary from year to year between late March and early April. However, because schools tend to take their Easter holidays at much the same time as each other the demand for late deals and last minute bargains is high. Other half term holidays can be more variable with schools taking holidays at different times and therefore be spreading demand over two or three weeks. At such times, late deals and last minute bargains may be available especially from UK regional airports.

Family Easter Holidays
Easter holidays are increasingly popular for families and for many just one of the holidays they take each year. For some a short break at Easter is the ideal time for a holiday with lower, perhaps more comfortable, temperatures and smaller numbers of fellow tourists in resorts.
