Accommodation is located around a pretty traditional courtyard draped with colourful bougainvillea. Bright comfortable studios are simply furnished and spotlessly clean in classic Greek style. All accommodation comes with a simple kitchen area for basic self-catering. This homely budget hotel is hard to beat when it comes to location. A three minute walk takes you down to an excellent beach and the shops and restaurants of Perissa resort centre. You will find a good choice of attractive tavernas along the way. A supermarket next door makes for easy self-catering. The Philoxenia Hotel makes an economical and pleasantly relaxing base for exploring the exquisite island of Santorini. Local buses are a cheap way to explore the island. An excellent sunshine record and very pleasant spring and autumn temperatures mean an exceptionally long beach holiday season from May through to October. 

 

A great location for Perissa beaches and nightlife. A 3 minute stroll to a large sandy beach and an enjoyable seafront promenade. Resort centre restaurants and nightlife are even closer. There are good bars and tavernas near the hotel in both directions. A brilliant local 24 hour bakery and a next-door mini-market make for hassle-free self-catering. A 30 minute transfer from Thira Airport.

 

Rooms are quite spacious for a 2 star hotel and are pleasantly simple in classic Greek fashion. You will find two beds, a good simple walk-in shower and a small kitchen/dining area with a small oven and grill, an electric cooking top, a fridge/freezer, cooking utensils and plenty of cupboard space. A small additional payment secures convenient extras like a safe and air-conditioning. Most rooms have a balcony or a shared balcony or terrace. Daily maid service.

 

The Philoxenia does a great job at providing the Greek holiday essentials: an attractive pool, plenty of space to relax and a friendly bar with good food. A TV in the reception area has UK channels. There is a small library of English books and Wi-Fi internet access.
