Travelmarket Launches UK Site

Travelmarket, the Danish price comparison site has launched in the UK with a pledge to find the cheapest deals on cheap flights in the UK. Travelmarket is a travel search engine scouring hundreds of different websites to find cheap flights, whilst not actually selling any form of travel arrangements itself, Travelmarket directs the site user on to the appropriate travel site.

Travelmarket chief executive Ole Stouby said: “The price comparison market is very competitive in the UK but in www.travelmarket.co.uk we believe we have a more comprehensive search dynamic which enables us to return the lowest prices for any search.

“Travelmarket is launching websites in the UK and Germany because there is an opportunity to differentiate ourselves in a crowded marketplace and become the number one online destination for consumers wanting the peace of mind that they have got the lowest prices on the internet.”

To celebrate their UK launch, Travelmarket are offering £2.500 worth of travel vouchers in a competition. The idea being that if any user can find a cheaper airfare on another website, then they will enter the prize draw being made after April 15^th. The submitted entries must be for the exact same departure and destination airport, departure date and arrival date. Up to five winning entrants may share the travel vouchers.

Travelmarket compare prices from different companies in one search, from national airlines and low cost airlines like Ryanair and easyJet, to online travel agents and traditional travel agencies. Travelmarket, which is based in Denmark with 28 members of staff can also search for hotels and car rental.
