Thomas Cook have released updates for their policy for passengers travelling to Mexico. However, Thomas Cook will operate to bring those passengers currently in resort, back to the UK.

The Thomas Cook Group has acquired bed bank Med Hotels from lastminute.com for an undisclosed fee. The deal is expected to be finalised by early February 2nd and follows a similar move by the group this time last year, when they acquired bed bank hotels4u.com for £21.8 million in February 2008.

Thomas Cook Group has confirmed that it is to acquire French tour operator Jet Tours at a cost of €70 million (£56m) from Club Mediterranee. The purchase means that Thomas Cook will become the third largest tour operator in France, with a 10% market share.

Air Berlin, Germany's biggest low-cost has agreed to buy Condor from tour operator Thomas Cook, for as much as 4475 million. Air Berlin will purchase 75.1 percent of Condor from Thomas Cook in February 2009.
