Ryanair Reports Happy Customers
A survey from the European Consumer Centre has revealed that Ryanir had received just over 600 complaints from the 60 million + passengers who fly with the low-cost airline every year. This accounts for less than ten complaints for every 1 million Ryanair passengers.
The news is welcomed by Ryanair, who have in the past, often come in for some heavy criticism from customers. The encouraging results have been directly affected by Ryanair’s policy of guaranteeing the cheapest flights, no fuel surcharges, a punctual and reliable service and the fewest cancellations of any airline in Europe, including its cheap flights rival easyJet.
Ryanair’s Peter Sherrard was encouraged by the report: “This year Ryanair has grown by 10 million passengers to over 50 million. The ECC received just over 400 complaints about Ryanair which equates to just 8 letters for every 1 million passengers carried by Ryanair. This is less than 10 complaints a week...Ryanair’s continuing record growth proves that European consumers love Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares, unbeatable punctuality and customer service. We welcome the ECC’s confirmation of these facts”.
The news rounded of a good week for Ryanair, as they had earlier announced it had carried 23% more passengers last month compared with November 2006.
