Thursday, 29 May 2008

ryanair flightsRyanair has today announced 14 new routes across Europe which are to be launched in October this year. The new routes from Europe’s largest low cost airline include new options from the UK with flights from Bournemouth to Milan and Paris, and flights from Glasgow to Faro, Malaga and Tenerife.

The expansion means that Ryanair now serves over 660 routes in preparation for winter 2008, whilst the announcement also means that four airports, Lille, Agadir, Nador and Tangier, will be serviced by Ryanair for the first time.

Ryanair’s Bridget Dowling said:  “Over 60 million passengers will save over £6 billion by choosing Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares over our high fare competitors this year. This latest 14 route expansion will deliver low fares to Agadir, Lille, Nador and Tangier for the first time. Our five new UK routes will meanwhile provide passengers with lower fares and better punctuality compared to the high fares levied by British Airways and Easyjet.

As part of the announcement, 500,000 Ryanair flights will be available for just £10 in June and July. The one way fares are likely to be snapped up quickly.
