Wednesday, 24 October 2007
easyJet have announced plans to open 13 budget hotels throughout Germany and Austria by 2011. The hotels will follow the example of easyJet, the cheap flights provider, by offering a no-frills hotel service under the name easyHotel.
easyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou has confirmed that the new easyHotel’s will offer basic overnight stays from €29 a night. easyHotel currently operates in London, Basle and Budapest.
New locations for the hotels within Germany and Austria include Berlin, Vienna, Graz and Linz. The move means that travellers looking for a basic but cheap city break will be able to combine not only easyJet flights but also a cheap hotel, leaving a larger budget for the remainder of the stay.
