directline-holidays expands online marketing team

holiday newsOnline travel agency, directline-holidays, has appointed Katie Harrod as Online Marketing Manager.
 
Katie will oversee and develop online marketing channels focused on driving more qualified traffic to the site to stimulate demand and increase brand awareness. She will be responsible for managing and developing directline-holidays’ affiliate, PPC and display programmes, increasing online revenue and growing the level of bookings generated by the channel.
 
Katie has more than ten years’ experience in marketing and in the past has worked for TLC Marketing PLC and Z-Card Ltd. Most recently Katie was account director at Commission Junction, managing brands such as bmi and the TUI Brands (including Thomson, First Choice). Other accounts include House of Fraser, Laura Ashley, HSBC, Thomas Cook, Betfair and Match.com.
 
Katie has a Business of Commerce degree, majoring in marketing and business management, from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
