Location

The Moevenpick Resort & Spa is situated on a man-made island, Elephantine Island, and surrounded by natural lagoons. On the doorstep of the Red Sea, the hotel is in a prime spot for enjoying the pursuit the area is most famous for; diving. The diving spots here are considered some of the best in the world. The hotel is located in El Gouna; a purpose built resort home to a huge range of large, all-inclusive complexes. The popular and lively nightlife scene of Kafr is just a few minutes’ walk away and Kitchener's Island with its botanical gardens is easily accessible. El Gouna golf course is 1km away and Hurghurda resort centre is approximately a 30 minute drive south.

 

The range of facilities at the hotel are extensive to say the least. Upon entering the hotel, the first thing guests will see is the spacious lobby area with its marble floor, light pastel décor, casual seating and lovely African plants and shrubs. The hotel boasts 7 pools – four large freshwater swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and three children’s pools. A health club provides excellent fitness and relaxation facilities, including a gym, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath, massage therapy and Angsana spa offering a huge range of treatments. The complex has its own 3km stretch of private man-made beach, where guests can enjoy watersports such as windsurfing and diving. Other sports facilities include floodlit tennis courts, squash courts and table tennis. There is a huge wealth of dining options to choose from, with 7 themed restaurants serving menus ranging from Lebanese to Italian to Thai. A number of bars can be found throughout the complex, including the 13^th floor Panorama bar affording stunning views over Aswan. Additional facilities include a 24-hour reception, currency exchange desk, laundry service and public internet access.

 

Accommodation at the hotel consists of 554 clean and spacious rooms. Rooms sleeping up to 3 people come with a king-sized bed or twin beds, as well as an additional bed if needed. Sea view rooms, twin rooms for sole occupancy, deluxe-style family rooms for 2 adults and 2 children and deluxe rooms with sea or lagoon view and complimentary bathrobes and slippers are also available to book at a supplement. All rooms come with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker, hairdryer, full bathroom with WC and balcony or terrace.
