Marina Apartments, Menorca

A medium sized complex with attractive whitewashed buildings built in a typical Spanish villa style, the Marina Apartments are found in a quiet area of this popular Menorcan resort. Two pools, one larger and rectangular, the other smaller and circular provide a refreshing dip for those enjoying the sun on the complex’s terraces, while well-maintained gardens with palm and other native trees give the resort a tropical feel.

 

The Marina Apartments have a fantastic central location, just a 3-minute walk from the expansive golden sands of the beach and around a 5 minute walk to the elegant marina from which the complex gets its name, with numerous colourful vessels bobbing in the water and a great selection of cafes, restaurants and bars overlooking them. Boat trips to the beautiful beaches of Turqueta, Mitjana, Macarella and Son Saura can be arranged from here. Cala n’ Bosch resort centre is also conveniently close at around 150m from the hotel, where you’ll find more cafés, bars and shops, as well as the nearest supermarket for those opting to self-cater. A fantastic day out and some great photo opportunities are to be had at the old Moorish ex-capital of Cuitadella which is around 7 miles away.

There are a range of options to choose from, including studios which sleep 2 adults plus 1 child up to the age of 12, one bedroom apartments sleeping 3 adults plus 1 child up to the age of 12, two bedroom apartments sleeping up to 5 adults plus one child up to the age of 12, and three bedroom apartment s which sleep 7 adults plus 1 child up to the age of 12. All rooms come with a kitchenette with 2 hobs including microwave, fridge, kettle, satellite TV, telephone, safety deposit box, mini bar, bathroom with shower, bath and WC. Rooms for disabled guests are available, and single rooms can be booked at a supplement.

 

Days spent at the Marina Apartments will focus on the 2 attractive outdoor swimming pools and wide sun terraces. A small pool bar serves refreshments through the day and there is a larger bar that provides drinks and snacks throughout the day and into the evening. During the day there is an entertainment programme put on, with aqua aerobics, volleyball, bowls, archery, and quizzes, plus a children’s pool and children’s club to keep the kids entertained. The 24-hour reception can arrange bicycle hire and horse-riding, as well as currency exchange and a laundry service. Guests here can also take advantage of the facilities at the complex’s sister hotel, the Hotel Cala 'n Bosch.
