Xemxija Weather

The seaside village of Xemxija boasts access to some of Malta’s fantastic golden beaches and of course spectacular year round Maltese sunshine. The climate in Malta is typically Mediterranean with long hot summer days where the temperatures can reach well over the 30C mark. The winter months are short and warm, and snow in Xemxija is unheard of. The annual rainfall in Xemxija is very low, approximately 24 inches per year, and tends to stick to the months between October and March. From May until late November the temperature will not usually dip below the 20C mark. July and August will be the hottest months with temperatures heading over the 30C mark. The long, dry, hot summer days in Xemxija are the perfect time to lie on the golden beaches and swim in the warm Mediterranean Sea at Golden Bay, Bugibba, and Qawra.

Spring and autumn temperatures are around the 20C mark making it slightly cooler than the peak summer months and the perfect time to explore the surrounding area. Christmas breaks will also provide temperatures of around 15C, with more than enough sunshine to pick up a healthy winter tan.
