The weather in St Georges Bay in the height of the season - July through to September - will generally be hot but not uncomfortable, with temperatures rarely rising above 30C. Thus, the weather grants an excellent opportunity to explore the beauty of Malta and the surrounding islands, in particular Gozo and Comino. Moreover, a cooling breeze drifts over the Mediterranean which provides a welcome break in the heat. However, one should note that in early and late summer, winds can carry from the Sahara desert which can become quite blustery.

St Georges Bay winter weather is predominately mild with an average of 6 hours of daily sunshine and day temperatures that never fall below 10C even in the height of winter - December through to February. Even in November, water temperatures average at 21C meaning taking a dip in the water is still pleasurable. However, from October to February, Malta will experience scattered showers with the most rainfall occurring in December. Snow, on the other hand, is virtually unheard of with the last recorded occurrence in 1962.
