Scuba-Diving
One of the most popular spots for scuba-diving in Malta, Marsascala has a long rocky U-shaped coastline to explore, and is home to dive schools offering various trips out into the Mediterranean.
 
Water Sports
There are a number of other water sports available from Marsascala, with facilities for windsurfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding and snorkelling.
 
Beaches
Although the resort has no beach, St. Thomas Bay, the next bay along the coastline, is home to a lovely sandy beach, ideal for days out and family swimming, thanks to its safe shallow waters. 
 
Walking & Biking
The hills and surrounding Maltese countryside are picturesque and scenic, and perfect for walking tours, with visitors able to enjoy both casual strolls and more strenuous hikes along the marked paths. Cycling is also popular, with bike rental available.
 
Sports
There is sailing and boat rental and fishing available.  Or take a golf holiday to Marsascala!  You can also play tennis, go horse riding or paragliding all within a short drive.
 
Waterfront
The working harbour is the hub of this traditional fishing village, packed with colourful boats, and lined with cafes, bars and shops. The resort is quiet and peaceful, with most of the entertainment hotel-based, but the port can get busy and is a popular spot for evening strolls.
 
Dining
Marsascala is well-known for its high-quality fish and seafood restaurants, with most visitors to the resort taking advantage of the many local venues where they can sample the fresh catch of the day, and try some traditional Maltese dishes.
 
Days Out
Visit the other local villages such as Marsaxlokk and Zejtun, or head north to the capital, Valletta to see the historical sites and experience some Maltese culture. Popular tourist resorts such as St. Julian's, St. George's and Sliema are an easy day trip from Marsascala.
