Bugibba Things To Do

Although Bugibba sits on the rocky northern coastline, holiday-makers can relax on the many platforms and flat rocks that are ideal for leisurely sunbathing. The sandy beach at Mellieha Bay lies just 8km away.

 

Lively and buzzing, the main square is the hub of the resort, with plenty of open-air bars and cafes, whilst the waterfront Islet Promenade is lined with restaurants and shops, and runs all the way to Qawra.  

 

The resort is home to a choice of dive schools which offer excursions out into the clear warm waters around the coast. There's a rich underwater landscape to explore if you are on a holiday in Bugibba, with plenty of marine life to view.

 

From glass-bottomed boat trips, to scenic cruises around the island or out to Comino, Bugibba offers many tours around the coast. Popular trips include excursions through the Blue Grotto caves, and Grand Harbour cruises in Valleta.

 

Include water sports, sailing, kayaking and fishing, as well as tennis, horse riding, cycling and golf.

 

The craft village at Bugibba, Ta'Qali, features local artists at work and sells a range of authentic Maltese items, such as lace, embroidery, jewellery and glassware - ideal for souvenirs.

 

There's an excellent choice of nightlife in Bugibba, from British pubs, karaoke, and sports bars, to cocktail lounges and piano bars, and plenty of clubs and discos for late-night dancing.

 

As well as the extensive shopping, dining and nightlife, entertainment features a cinema, bingo hall and a casino. There are many venues showing live sports, amusement arcades, playgrounds, and trampolines for children. 

 

Families will enjoy theme parks such as Popeye Village, Mediterraneo, the Playmobile park and Splash and Fun Park, whilst swimming with dolphins and fishing trips are fun days out. The capital Valleta has many fascinating places to see within its walled city and fantastic views over the Grand Harbour, with ferry trips to Gozo or Comino for a change of pace.
