Malibu Park, Tenerife

The 3-star Malibu Park Aparthotel offers affordable, no frills accommodation in the peaceful Torviscas region of Playa de las Americas. The complex is situated on a hillside and offers stunning views out across the south of Tenerife. Rooms are bright, clean and comfortable, and come equipped with self-catering facilities for those looking to save some money on their holiday. A large pool with surrounding sun terraces, overlooked by the low rise studio and apartment buildings, makes a nice place to relax in the sun. Tenerife being a volcanic island, much of the terrain is hilly. The star Malibu Park Aparthotel is built on a hillside, so may not be suitable for those with severe walking difficulties. The complex is around a 20-minute walk from San Eugenio beach, 1.5km from Torviscas beach and around 2km from the resort centre. There is a large Aquapark just 20m from the hotel. Playa de las Americas has been a popular holiday destination for over 30 years. There are 3 natural beaches in the area and 3 man-made ones. The resort boasts a huge array of bars and clubs, as well as numerous activities to try including watersports at the three beaches, boat excursions to see dolphins, an 18 hole golf course in the near vicinity and excursions the capital, Santa Cruz.

 

Accommodation at the Malibu Park Aparthotel consists of 86 apartments and 29 studios set in attractive, low-rise white-washed blocks. Rooms are simple, clean and airy. Studios sleeping 2-3 adults have a living area with twin beds and a sofa bed. One bedroom apartments have a living area with sofa bed, plus a separate twin bedroom. All rooms come with a kitchenette complete with ceramic hobs, fridge and oven, tea making facilities, satellite TV, telephone, hair dryer, safe, full bathroom with WC and balcony or terrace.

 

There are a good range of facilities at the complex for guests. A large, clean swimming pool is the centre pieces, surrounded by terraces with free sun loungers and next to a pool bar with a great atmosphere serving refreshments throughout the day. There is also a lounge bar near to the reception where they put on karaoke regularly. There are a range of sports facilities including tennis courts, a football pitch, table tennis and pool tables, and bicycle hire. The 24-hour reception can arrange a variety of excursions, including bike trips, mountain trips, boat trips around the island, visits to the Botanic Gardens and Puerto de la Cruz. Internet, a laundry service and a supermarket are also provided.

Children: There is a children’s playground and children’s swimming pool. Cots are provided free of charge by the hotel. The nearby Aquapark makes a great day out for those with kids.
